We have a very low turnover of staff, many of whom have been working at Frintondene since it opened in 1991, so residents don’t have to be worried about seeing new faces all the time.
All staff update their health and safety training annually including Manual Handling, First Aid, Medication Handling, Infection Control, Food Handling and Hygiene. Some staff have NVQ level 3 in care and one member of staff is a trained beauty therapist who offers reflexology, hand massage and other beauty treatments.
The hairdresser comes every two weeks, the chiropodist visits every four weeks, however a local person coming to live at Frintondene may prefer to keep the same hairdresser and chiropodist they are used to which is very acceptable to us and will be paid for by Frintondene. Other health specialists, GPs, district nurses and physios visit upon request or requirement.
Elizabeth has been the Provider/Manager for the last 34 years at Frintondene.
Mary-Louise has been the deputy manager of Frintondene since 2015 and is in charge of the day to day running of the care home.
Hayley joined in 2022 as a senior care assistant. She is NVQ Level 2 trained.
Marie is NVQ Level 2 trained in care and is also a qualified beautician. Marie loves her job in care and has been with us since 1996.
Irene is a care assistant here at Frintondene and has been with us since 2013. She is NVQ Level 3 trained.
James joined Frintondene in 2019 and is a qualified care assistant with City & Guilds Level 2 Health and Social Care.
